I took my watch in to get a battery replaced to this place as it was on my way. once he changed the battery, he couldn't, put the the back casing back onto the watch and advised me to take it to S. on Little Collins Street to fix it. I didn't have any proof that he took the rear casing off as he didn't charge me for the new battery. S. advised me that the seal was broken when the casing was being removed and they had to get a new one from the manufacturer, they advised that the quote will take about 2 weeks. I came back to Master Cobbler and advised him that the seal was broken upon which he got really aggressive and said 'Mate, it was already broken'. I then called up S. and asked them if that was possible and they said it was broken because the casing was taken off incorrectly, i put the phone on speaker and advised him to explain it to the guy who started swearing and went away without listening. Once I hung up he started swearing and told me to tell the Small Business Complaints. This guy is really unprofessional and doesn't deserve to be in a customer service industry. I am taking the watch to T. to replace anything from now on. I didn't pursue the matter as I didn't have any proof that he was the one who initially worked on my watch. But maybe i will in the future.
Glad to report that Grant (owner of the shop) contacted me after reading these reviews. Reprimanded the employee who assisted me. We are in the process of working out a solution. I am happy to say that I am happy with Grant's prompt reply and assistance and would recommend this business to others.
